  1. Great Advice! I’m Pre-Med as well (obviously) and I completely understand where you are coming from. People think you can’t be normal and smart at the same time. I am in Fraternity, in other organizations, very social, and still have the grades to make it! Keep up the good work. I am applying this upcoming summer, it’s a tough road but so worth it.

    • Good for you! I wish you all the best! And I completely agree! I’m a full-time track athlete with hundreds of shadowing hours and volunteering hours as well as keeping a 3.8. It can be done! Keep up the great work! Xo

    • Sure! No problem! I’m actually majoring in Biology, minoring in psychology. The human mind fascinates me as well as all of the mental diseases but I’m not going into psychiatry haha, surgery actually. What are you thinking about minoring in?

      • I’m also Biology & want to go to medical school! I was thinking psychology too! Not only is it interesting, but it’ll make me seem more well rounded! Thank you so much, that helped a lot πŸ™‚

  2. That’s awesome! No problem! Yeah, most people double major Bio/Chem or minor in Chem, major in Bio or vice versa. It honestly does NOT matter, one major will not get you into medical school over the other. Do what you love, what interests you, and you’ll get good grades regardless! Don’t take the easy route but also don’t take the crazy triple major just to make your app look good! Find a major you’ll be passionate about and able to elaborate on all of your achievements when interviewing to medical school! πŸ™‚ Good luck!

  3. Awesome blog. I’m a high school student (almost finished) and you are honestly a great, inspirational person. I have days where I feel medicine isn’t something for me, but my deep and passionate love for it along with your inspiring blog and experiences make me 10x happier and want to work harder towards my goal just like you (which is a Surgeon for me hopefully). You are a talented and an amazing person honestly. Thank you for everything you do for people like me and others out there! It means alot. You’ll become an awesome doctor! That’s for sure πŸ™‚

    • This means more to me than you know. I appreciate your kind words so much! Thank you. It is for you, keep chugging along!! We will get there sooner or later :)) you CAN DO IT.
